Flexible payment methods supporters can use during checkout
Fourthwall supports Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) options through AfterPay and Klarna, so supporters can split payments into installments. Below is how to enable BNPL on your site and what to expect when supporters use it.
How the BNPL approval process works
When a supporter chooses BNPL at checkout:
They’re redirected to AfterPay or Klarna for approval
Approval is handled entirely by the BNPL provider
Once approved, the order is completed as a fully paid transaction
Supporters pay installments directly to the BNPL provider afterward
Note: Fourthwall does not influence or view the decision, and the agreement is strictly between the supporter and the BNPL provider.
Enable or disable Buy Now, Pay Later
BNPL is turned off by default. To enable it:
Step 1 – Go to Settings in your Fourthwall dashboard and select Checkout.
Step 2 – Check or uncheck the option to accept BNPL.
When enabled, supporters can check out using AfterPay or Klarna for orders of $10 or more. This gives them more flexibility and can help improve your conversion rates.
Transaction fees for BNPL
BNPL options have higher processing fees than standard payment methods.
BNPL fees:
6% + $0.30 per transaction
An additional 1 percent for international supporters
As with all payment methods, creators cover these fees. You can read more about transaction fees here.
