Why are my products not eligible for TikTok shop?
Not all products can be synced to TikTok Shop due to TikTok's platform requirements. The most common reasons include:
- Over 3-day shipping timelines – All TikTok products must be produced and shipped within 3 days. Items that cannot meet this requirement are automatically disabled.
- Non-US shipping locations – Products must ship from the United States. Items shipping from outside the US are not eligible.
- Hidden product status – Only products marked as "Public" in Fourthwall will sync. Hidden products remain hidden on TikTok.
- Incomplete product details – Products must include images, a descriptive name, and complete product details.
TikTok may mark products as ineligible at any time for various reasons. To see the exact reason:

Offering free shipping on TikTok Shop is a strategic approach that can significantly enhance your TikTok products’ performance and discoverability.
Here’s why incorporating free shipping is highly recommended:
- Enhanced product visibility – TikTok Shop prioritizes listings with free shipping, often tagging them with a “Free Shipping” label. This designation makes your products more appealing and can lead to higher rankings in search results, increasing the likelihood of discovery by potential buyers.
- Increased sales opportunities – Studies indicate that a significant percentage of online shoppers are more inclined to complete a purchase if free shipping is offered. By including shipping costs in your product prices and presenting them as “free shipping,” you can reduce cart abandonment rates and boost overall sales.
- Access to TikTok’s co-funded free shipping program – TikTok Shop offers a Co-Funded Free Shipping program where sellers can share shipping costs with TikTok. How to disable your TikTok Shop connection
If you wish, you can disable your TikTok shop connection at any time after it has been connected by unchecking the Enable TikTok Shop sales.
This action will automatically mark all TikTok products as "Sold Out" to prevent new sales.
Note: You cannot fully disconnect the TikTok Shop app until all existing orders have shipped. This is required by TikTok policies.
To completely remove the connection:
- Disable TikTok Shop sales.
- Wait until all orders are fulfilled and shipped.
- Disconnect the app.
TikTok Shop errors
TikTok seller account inactive
This means your TikTok Shop account has been deactivated or marked inactive by TikTok.
What to do:
- Go to your TikTok Shop dashboard.
- Check the Account Health tab for details.
TikTok Shop inactive
This means you have not completed the TikTok Shop setup.
What to do:
- Follow Step 1 in the TikTok Shop setup guide.
- Complete the TikTok Shop registration process.
Return warehouse configuration issue
This error appears when the return warehouse is not configured correctly.
What to check:
Confirm the warehouse name is set to Fourthwall. You can refer to this step of the TikTok Shop setup guide.
Shipping template configuration issue
This error occurs when the shipping template is missing or incorrectly named.
What to check:
- Ensure you created a shipping template in the Free shipping template steps or Regular shipping template steps of the setup guide.
- The template must be named "Fourthwall Shipping" or "Fourthwall" (a different name may prevent syncing).
Incorrect shipping option selected
This means TikTok Shipping is still enabled instead of Seller Shipping.
To fix this:
- In your TikTok Shop dashboard, go to Orders > Fulfillment Settings > Shipping and Delivery.
- Click Switch option > Seller shipping.
- Return to your Fourthwall TikTok Shop page and refresh it.
- Turn Sales back on using the toggle.
